Cassette-packed surgical suture from Nylon (Polyamide 6.6). A synthetic, twisted, sheathed, multifilament non-absorbable surgical suture in white colour. Sterilised with Ethylenoxide (EO). High tensile strength, excellent handling and dependable knot security make coated multifilament Polyamide 6.6 well suited for reliable soft-tissue approximation and ligation where prolonged support is required. Combines multifilament pliability with a smooth, monofilament-like surface and reduced memory.
CHARACTERISTICS
Nylon (Polyamide 6.6) coated multifilament (twisted) synthetic non-absorbable thread.
Long term support – non-absorbable, retains high tensile strength.
Minimal tissue reaction – biocompatible polyamide material supports gradual encapsulation by connective tissue.
Sheathed construction – passes through tissue with minimal drag and reduced trauma.
Excellent handling and knot security – combines multifilament flexibility with a smooth, monofilament-like surface.
Reduced capillarity – the enclosing outer layer limits fluid wicking into the multifilament core.
Sterile packaging – safe for surgical use.
INDICATIONS
For veterinary use. Typically used for skin closure, soft-tissue approximation and selected ophthalmic procedures. Well suited where prolonged support, excellent handling and reliable knot security are required.
PACKAGING
Sterile, cassette-enclosed reel with a double security cap, packed in a paper box.Â
