Cassette-packed surgical suture from polyglicolic acid (PGA). A synthetic, braided, coated polyfilament absorbable surgical suture in violet colour. Sterilised with Ethylenoxide (EO). High initial strength and excellent handling make braided PGA well suited for reliable approximation and ligation of tissues requiring short- to medium-term support.
CHARACTERISTICS
Polyglicolic acid polyfilament coated (braided) absorbable synthetic thread.
Reliable support – high initial tensile strength for short- to medium-term tissue support.
Minimal tissue reaction – biocompatible synthetic material with low tissue response.
Predictable absorption – progressively degraded and absorbed through hydrolysis over a defined period.
Coated braided construction – smooth tissue passage and flexible, comfortable handling.
Excellent knot security – dependable knot holding and easy knot placement.
Violet colour – high visibility against tissue for precise surgical procedures.
Sterile packaging – safe for surgical use.
INDICATIONS
For veterinary use. Typically used for general soft-tissue approximation and ligation, including subcutaneous tissue, muscle and aponeuroses, selected abdominal-wall closures, ligation of vessels for haemostasis, and ophthalmic procedures.
